Unveiling the new facilities, Cambridgeshire MP Andrew Lansley, said: “I am delighted to be here at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital to officially open the new reception and out-patient suite. It is fantastic to see the investment being made in the appearance and design of hospitals to improve the patient experience.”
The event was attended by special guests, consultants and members of staff, Andrew Lansley stated: “Hospitals must strive not just to offer the latest treatments, but also to ensure that the time someone spends in hospital is as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
The development is part of the ongoing investment and development programme at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital, which continues its commitment to provide patients with high quality treatment. Consultant Colorectal Surgeon, Mr Justin Davies, commented: “The new out-patient and reception facilities at the Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital are a great step forward. It is a bright and welcoming reception with a very comfortable waiting area, and the newly refurbished clinic rooms are very clean, well equipped and a real joy to consult in.”
Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital has invested more than £11m over the past seven years in new services, equipment and technology.
